We mix all our glazes from the raw ingredients and fire to stoneware temperature (cone 10) in a gas reduction kiln. We do not use lead or any other toxic ingredient in any of the glazes. All glazes are very durable and safe in the dishwasher and microwave. Due to the many variables in the firing process, please expect slight differences in color. These and other slight differences are what make hand-made pottery look like hand-made pottery! Shamo with sgraffito is available only on Rope Mugs and Rope Pitchers; Northern Lights with Cobalt Bottom is available only on the Low-Handle Mug, Small Round Mug, Tumbler, Rope Mug or Rope Pitcher.
